STORY SUBMISSIONS

Do you have an interesting story to share?

We welcome articles via email or Canada Post. Short, concise submissions are given consideration over long ones. We ask that you limit photos to 5 – 8 per story. Please read below for formatting. News and articles that are not formatted properly may not be used or returned.

Old Autos does not pay for casual submissions.

Send files in the following:

  • Text – WORD document attachment file.
  • Pictures – JPEG file attachments.
  • Captions – WORD file attachments, number captions to picture. Can be sent as a separate file attachment or tagged on to the end of the story.

Please send a cover email indicating what you are sending, (article, the number of pictures, etc)

Your full name, address and subscription #.
Do not write captions on BACK of hard copy photos.

Story Submissions –

An email confirmation will be sent upon receipt of article – usually within 48 hours.

Picture Perfect – Make your car a star! Send us a good colour shot of your car and it could be on the front page of your favourite old auto publication.

Criteria  – must be a current subscriber and ‘owner’ of the vehicle • photo cannot have people or pets or clutter in the background • make sure the photo is centered with crop room around the photo • hoods, trunks and doors must be closed •  send a 50 word description of the vehicle, including year, make and model. This feature currently runs about 9 months in advance, please allow this time for publishing.

Precious Ones – show off your car and your favourite child, grandchild, niece or nephew.

Criteria –  must be a current subscriber. Send a good clear photo of your vehicle and precious one, along with a caption of who and what is in the photo. Include your full name, address and subscriber #. This feature runs about 1 year in advance, so please allow this time for publishing.
